My 4th of July...
It kind of started last night. There was a big accident (car vs. semi) in Larry's city yesterday around noon... and Larry ended up stuck there directing traffic until 9:30 that night! His shift ends at 8!!! So by the time he got home, he needed to unwind. We ate dinner (it was spaghetti night, w00t!), then went to Grille 116 for dessert and a couple drinks. They kicked us out of 116 about 11:30, then we went to Whiskey North for more drinks. I don't know how late we were out... I was pretty damn buzzed by the time we got home. So we slept until about 12:30 today because I didn't have to work and Larry didn't have to go in until 6.

We got up about 1 and had some lunch, then went back to sleep... we slept from 2:30 until 5, when Larry had to get up and go to work. I watched an episode of Bridezillas with Mom, then went for my nightly walk. I find that doing 30 mins each night is much more realistic for me than doing an hour or more a few nights a week. After my walk, I showered up to head over to Pinellas for dinner with Larry and the guys.

At first, it was just going to be Larry, Barry, Carmella and me for dinner. Then Barry got some drugs and didn't think he'd be able to make it. But the Mexican joint we were going to was closing, so we went to Pho Quyen (as usual). By that time, Barry was almost done with his drug thing, so he met up with us. Then Marty, Cassidy, and Dave (the K-9 guys) showed up! After dinner, Carmella and I went to see "Wall-E." Very cute movie! And it had more of a plot than I expected. Carmella decided that since it's "Larry and Barry," her name should be Caren ("with a 'C'") so that we can be "Erin and Caren." LOL After the movie, I went to Starbucks with Larry and Barry for a few minutes, then Larry got a call and had to go. So I didn't get home til after 1!!! I can't remember the last time I came home by myself at that hour. Must've been when Larry and I first started dating.

I've been doing some light housework since I got home and I think now I'm going to play some Uno on Xbox Live and read some more of my book ("Dreams From My Father"... not bad so far) until Larry gets home. :-)

Aside from the fact that you didn't see any fireworks, it sounds like a pleasant evening. Did you like Wall-E? I thought it was cute and was surprised that despite the limited dialogue the kids enjoyed it and found it funny.

Yes, I thought Wall-E was a really sweet movie! Also very funny how everyone was SUPER fat--and it obviously was NOT just because of the microgravity. I was telling my friend that scientists used to say that humans would eventually start have really big heads and little bodies because we would be using our brains more than our bodies... but the truth is we're going to look like the people on that spaceship!
